CREATIVE
Design
In a world where design changes faster than your group chat's mood, Tikau showed up with one stubborn belief: things should actually last.
We craft OBJECTS & SPACES that don’t beg for attention — they simply stay. Timeless, durable, a little wise, a little modern, and always human at heart.

QUIRKY
ideas
Tikau literally means sustainable and enduring — the opposite of “use-and-throw energy.”
What guides our work?
"Honesty" — in materials, in process, and in admitting when something just doesn’t need an extra jazz.
"Simplicity" — in design, communication, and the way we like things to just make sense.
"Longevity" — in use, in emotion, and in how long you’ll keep coming back to it without getting bored.

UNIQUE
IDENTITY
We design and build timeless spaces and objects through:
Reimagining traditional craftsmanship through a contemporary lens
Using locally sourced, durable materials that don’t just look good, but live long.
Designing for repair, reuse, and adaptability — because evolving is cooler than replacing.
Offering end-to-end services — furniture, interiors, and architecture wrapped into one clear, cohesive design story.

WORKS

Furniture
Tori 1.0
Tori is a furniture collection shaped by the quiet confidence of Japanese design. Built in solid wood with a strict sense of proportion, each piece finds its balance between structure and simplicity. The forms come straight from the logic of joinery — where function quietly decides what beauty looks like — creating furniture that feels grounded, enduring, and intentionally calm.
Hospitality
Sensei
Sensei borrows its calm from the quiet elegance of Japanese interiors. It celebrates simplicity and balance — clean lines, natural textures, and handcrafted details that make the space feel effortlessly composed. Soft, ambient lighting wraps everything in a gentle glow, turning dining into a slow, immersive ritual — the kind that makes you pause, breathe, and actually taste every moment.
Sensei-The brand Identity
Sensei
The identity for Sensei sits at the intersection of restraint and cultural conversation. Rooted in Japanese minimalism and typographic discipline, the branding is built on a strict grid — a quiet nod to precision, balance, and “everything in its place.” A bold red accent cuts through the muted palette with intention — adding focus, warmth, and a little heartbeat to the calm. Clean geometry, generous negative space, and tactile materials echo the fine-dining experience: warm minimalism with a side of quiet confidence. The result? An identity that’s timeless, composed, and unmistakably Sensei — serious in craft, effortless in spirit.
Interior design
Visava
This house brings together modern tropical architecture with a quiet mid-century soul. Think double-height volumes, big black-framed windows, and those smooth indoor-outdoor transitions that make the whole place breathe a little easier. Natural light pours in, cross-ventilation does its thing, and the spaces feel effortlessly alive. Textured surfaces, warm wood tones, and cane details add an earthy richness — minimal, but never cold. The open layout keeps everything fluid and connected to nature. The result: a grounded, tranquil home that balances clean lines with tactile warmth — serious design, without the serious attitude.
The Bengaluru kitchen - Brand Identity
TBK
The branding for The Bengaluru Kitchen taps into the city’s layered food culture through a visual language that feels contemporary yet unmistakably local. Borrowing from the lively chaos of South Indian street typography and the charm of everyday packaging, the identity mixes bold type, textured materials, and regional scripts to create a sense of place that’s instantly felt. The system walks a line between nostalgia and modern clarity — earthy tones, clean layouts, and handcrafted motifs come together like familiar flavours with a new twist. The result is an identity that feels warm, grounded, and delightfully Bengaluru.
ABOUT US
We’re building Tikau as a sort of living lab — where design shakes hands with craft and everyone actually gets along.
Designers, makers, and clients co-create in the same sandbox. Old-school methods meet modern tools without fighting. And sustainability isn’t a buzzword here — it’s the baseline, the culture, the whole point of the party.
NEHA
CREATIVE DIRECTOR
Neha is an architect powered by curiosity and an almost annoying habit of learning new things all the time. She approaches every design challenge from multiple angles — because there’s always more than one way to solve a problem, and she likes finding the thoughtful AND impactful one.
Her process leans heavily on visual storytelling — using clean, intentional graphics to make ideas feel obvious (in the best way). She cares deeply about creating humane, functional spaces, and along the way, her work got noticed: she was shortlisted for the Asia Young Designer Awards 2023 for her undergraduate thesis, and her project for the SEA Pavilion 2024 made it to the top 30 and was exhibited at the final event.
dEV
CRM & CFO
Devendra Jadhav is an architect — a critical thinker, a generalist, and a passive observer who somehow notices everything.
Ever since the business began, he’s been out there putting out fires (occasionally the very ones he started). His designs are usually ahead of their time — the kind that make us question his methods at first, and then leave us in absolute awe when they finally come to life.
He may not be the loudest in the room, but he’s often the first name you’ll hear. He’s picked up a few solid wins along the way — from special awards in international design workshops to first prizes for structural innovation. Several of his projects have made it to finalist lists across national and international competitions, covering everything from bamboo sustainability to modular quarantine facilities to urban design.
In short: he keeps ending up on the list — the good one.
ketan
ceo & operations
Ketan is an engineer who secretly (or not-so-secretly) loves design. His curiosity about how ideas turn into actual things naturally pulled him into the design world, where he blends technical precision with a creative, slightly experimental mindset.
As Managing Director, he handles the strategy, operations, and innovation bits — basically, he’s the one making sure big ideas don’t just stay ideas. He builds systems that connect design intent with real business growth, keeping everything purposeful and well-crafted.
Driven by clarity, collaboration, and a genuine love for turning concepts into impact, Ketan leads with a steady hand and a creative spark.
mainish
cpo & operations head
Manish is an engineer with a maker’s instinct — the kind of person who can sketch an idea, prototype it, break it, fix it, and perfect it, all before lunch. Anything hands-on, experimental, or slightly chaotic? That’s his playground. Every prototype and design trial that leaves our studio has passed through his tools, his brain, and his “let’s-try-this” attitude.
Before joining the team, Manish ran a business dedicated to uplifting local artisans — giving them a platform, visibility, and a space to bring their craft forward. That experience shaped his understanding of people, materials, and the little details that actually matter.
Within Tikau, he’s found the missing piece he’d been searching for — a team that matches his energy for building, experimenting, and making things that feel meaningful. He manages the production with a level head so great ideas don’t turn into expensive surprises.
Basically, if it’s being made, tested, or brought to life — Manish is somewhere in the middle of it, making sure it actually works.
